The Golden Homes Black Sox selectors have selected a squad of 20 athletes.  New Zealand U23 Major Sox coaches Steve Deans and Fergus McAlpine have named 16 players to contest the men’s inaugural WBSC U-23 Men’s Softball World Cup.

This evening, the Softball New Zealand Board decided to postpone the 2022 National Fastpitch Championship. Scheduled for February 10-13 in Christchurch, the National Fastpitch Championship (NFC) is the pinnacle national championship on the softball calendar.
