Head Coach Steven Deans says “We have added both Tane Mumu and Ethan Shannon to our squad with the withdrawal of Seth Gibson and Kaleb Rona. We are disappointed for both Seth and Kaleb who have been working hard to make the tour but with the campaign cancelled twice has made it too difficult for these two gentlemen to travel. We are excited with the replacements with Ethan Shannon performing with merit at the recent Fastpitch Championship for Auckland and Tane Mumu breakout performance with the Black Sox at the Men’s World Cup . Both men are passionate about wearing the silver fern and had no hesitation in committing to the event with only 8 weeks out.”
