Shakers Advance to the Final
The Wellington Shakers have taken down the Te Awa Kairangi Rapids 8-2 in today’s only game of FASTBALL 45® at the Central Regional Qualifier.
The Shakers managed to hold onto their lead until the completion of the second inning where the game met the minimum inning requirements before the home plate umpire called the game off due to heavy rain.
The women’s semi final was another action packed game with plenty of good hitting and defence from both sides. Hope Weber and Beyonce Rehutai delivered for the Shakers with 2 RBI’s each.
The Shakers will now meet another Hutt Valley team in the Kotuku Raiders at 2pm tomorrow to decide who will win the Central Regional Qualifier.
The men’s semi final scheduled for 6pm between the Hutt Valley Pakura Crushers and Western Bay Stealers was cancelle and and and will now be played at 1pm tomorrow.
The winner will go through to the final where they will take on the might of Wellington Thunder. All three games will be live on Sky Sport 3.
