Two fantastic opportunities are available to be involved with the New Zealand development pathway, as the head coach of the New Zealand Under 18 national teams - The Junior White Sox and Junior Black Sox.
In line with the Senior high performance program, the key focus for the Juniors is the preparation and development of Under 18 athletes toward future winning performances for the senior national teams on the international stage. NZ MAJOR SOX - TEAM SCORER POSITION (CLOSED)

A fantastic opportunity is available to be involved with the New Zealand development pathway, as the New Zealand Major Sox team scorer.
Key Tasks and requirements for the role:
- Prepare and collate information on MJSX athletes in domestic competitions, as required by the Head Coach. Where practical, be prepared to score opposition games for scouting purposes during tournaments.
- Applicant needs to be competent with the use of Stat Track, Turbo Stats, Game Changer or similar software.
- Experience with electronic scoring is also desirable
- This position also includes assistance to Team Manager of various domestic duties whilst in camps or tournaments
- The applicant needs to be qualified at Level 6 or 7 in the NZ Scoring Certification programme
- The successful applicant should be aware that there may be a significant amount of self funding required.

About The Role: The Business Support Administrator is a 20-25 hour a week permanent position that will deliver high-quality administrative assistance and operational coordination, enhancing overall business efficiency and contributing to the achievement of organisational targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- National Team Support: Coordinate bookings for accommodation, travel, equipment, and training camps. Organise team outfitting and assist in preparing and managing team budgets.
- Relationship Management: Manage contracts and relationships with insurance providers, vehicle and property leases, IT services, and travel agencies.
- Office Support: Provide IT support, manage travel arrangements for staff, assist with internal communications, maintain the Customer Relationship Management system, and provide additional support to the Chief Executive.
- Funding: Collaborate with the Chief Executive to determine funding requirements, obtain quotes, and apply to various funding bodies. Ensuring funding responsibilities are fulfilled and reported.
- General Duties: Ensure punctuality, prioritise workload, support a positive workplace culture, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in a similar support role, preferably within a sports organisation.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Experience in funding applications and reporting, coordinating travel logistics, and managing relationships and contracts.

Softball New Zealand Statistician
The Job Description includes:
Responsible to the New Zealand Chief Scorer, the Statistician is responsible for all tournament statisticians and collating, checking, recording, and presenting statistical information about softball players and games.
Key Tasks:
- Liaise with Chief Scorer on candidate criteria for international appointments.
- Collate international game data and manage the senior international records for Softball New Zealand
- Attend training clinics
- Assist with training of official scorers
- Check scorecards for national and international fixtures

Softball New Zealand Chief Scorer
The Job Description includes increasing the skilled numbers, expertise, competency and reputation of softball scorers in New Zealand by:
- Managing the National Scorers Panel
- National Appointments
- Overseeing the Scorers Pathway including at Foundation, Development and Performance level
- Encouraging people to undertake softball scoring
- Improving the knowledge, competency and expertise of scorers
- Providing structured pathways of development for scorers
- Create opportunities for scorers to progress
- Encouraging, supporting and working towards equal consideration and opportunities for training and accreditations
- Promote uniform methodology and techniques of scoring practices.
