Annie Lineham first played for New Zealand in the 1962 test series with Australia before going on to earn selection for the first ever Womens World Series known as the Womens Softball World Cup in 1965 hosted in Melbourne.
Annie was a brilliant short-stop and an inspirational fielder revered by her team mates. Annie was a stalwart of the Ramblers Softball Club in Auckland, and was inducted to the Softball NZ Hall of Fame in 2004.
