Passing of Hineumu Neha

Passing of Hineumu Neha
15 Sept, 2016

He kura tangihia, he maimai aroha.
E whae, e Hineumu hoki atu ki ōu rahi e tatari mai ana, waiho mātou e kawe ana i tō rongo.

It is with sadness that I inform you of the passing of our mum, nan, mother, whaea, tupuna Mrs Hineumu Neha, 74. Life Member of the Waikato Softball Association and Patron of Fairfield Otorohanga Unitied Softball. Following a long battle with illness, Mother Neha passed away early this morning.

Although it is a sad day for us as Fairfield Otorohanga United softball club, I would also like to acknowledge her as a Life Member of the Waikato Softball Association. The work that she and her late husband, Jack gave to softball over decades of meetings, trainings and tournaments gave opportunity for the youth of Waikato to experience top regional, national and international softball.

On behalf of the WKSA Board I would like to thank the whānau for sharing her with us for many years and for the opportunities and contribution that both Hine and Jack fought for both regionally and nationally.

Hine will lie at the family home today. She will then travel to Te Kotahitanga Marae, Otorohanga where she will lie in state until her funeral.

Paimārire.
