DIAMOND PARTNERS |

Sport NZ provides leadership in research and the development and implementation of policies that recognise the importance of sport and physical recreation to New Zealand. We provide policy advice to the Government on sport and recreation and work with other Government agencies to increase participation and strengthen the sport and physical recreation sector. We have partnerships with key organisations in the sport and recreation sector (primarily national-level sport and recreation organisations and regional sports trusts) to help us achieve our outcomes. These partner organisations deliver sport and physical recreation to New Zealanders from the grassroots to the high performance level. Sport NZ is not primarily a delivery agency, but is responsible for setting direction and providing investment and resources to the sector. Sport NZ works to “promote, encourage and support physical recreation and sport in New Zealand”. For more info click here |

FISCAL PARTNERS |

The New Zealand sport sector has a proud history of successfully working together in the high-performance arena – our sports share information and build the collective knowledge to benefit our high performance athletes on the world stage. This collaborative approach has inspired the New Zealand Sport Collective. Together, our goal as the New Zealand Sport Collective is to grow the reach, engagement of all sport in New Zealand and help reduce the barriers for young people to participate. We will align with and support the many excellent initiatives by a variety of organisations already in this space. Ultimately, we also want to support the sector to build commercial value and sustainability. Together, a more diverse range of sports – the women’s game, non-traditional codes and our promising youth – will have the chance to share their stories, be seen in competition, and help to inspire more Kiwis to play and succeed in sport, their way. |
